Metals coming from non ferrous metallic elements are composite metals that do not have significant content of iron in their structural integrity. Generally, non ferrous metals do not have any magnetic properties, have higher melting points and are much stronger, lightweight, and have intrinsic resistances to chemical and environmental contaminants that induce weathering, corrosion, and tarnishing. These properties make non ferrous metals widely used for a lot of residential and industrial purposes, such as automotive and aeronautical parts, communication devices, infrastructure, musical instruments, and even on manufacturing of flammable and explosive materials.

One of such non ferrous metals extensively used is magnesium. Magnesium is perfect for equipment and parts for automobiles and aircrafts. Since magnesium is malleable and ductile, it can also be used for components that are required to have intricate shapes and forms. Magnesium is also used for contraptions that require strong lightweight metals.

Zinc, when combined with copper, produces brass, a non ferrous alloy. Brass is favored due to its resistance to corrosion and its high rate of ductility, making it a top choice on communication equipment parts, musical instruments and plumbing fixtures.

Another non ferrous metal, aluminium, is preferred due to its non-reactive characteristics to fire and its non magnetic properties, deeming it to be widely used on devices that are exposed to high temperature, combustible and explosive environments. Aluminium has also a good property of malleability and a high melting point, which makes it ideal for equipment subject to wear and tear.

Titanium, a strong non ferrous metal, is highly resistant to oxidation, particularly those caused by several acids, gas, and solutions. Titanium metal is perfect for manufacturing major parts of aircrafts. Furthermore, its properties of high strength and low weight give it a definite edge over other metals.

Lastly, copper is the one of the most used non ferrous materials in the world, alongside with aluminium. This non ferrous metal is used for millennia and is still one of the primary metals used in every industry. Copper is admired for its strength, high quality of malleability and conductivity, and its exceptional resistance to corrosion. It is the primary material for cables, wires, and other conductive components, especially in consumer electronics and power transmission.
